She furthered her passion for community-building when she moved to Guatemala to develop evaluation tools and conduct surveys to help local community radio stations better connect with their Indigenous listeners. From a young age, Ryann has loved working with kids. In Iowa and in Boston, she helped children improve their confidence and sense of belonging through theater production and creative musical performance work.
