Bring your passion for food and health to the kids who need it most.
Our Wellness Educator program is semester-long volunteer commitment to teach for 2-3 hours one day each week during the school day. The earliest years of a child’s life are essential in developing a palate for healthy whole foods. Bubble Wellness Educators bring adventure to trying new foods in weekly lessons. Upon acceptance of your application, Bubble provides you with training, curriculum, and materials to teach our classes, while also pairing you with a co-volunteer and school that works for your schedule. Throughout this volunteer experience, Wellness Educators will gain skills in: nutrition education, garden education, culinary arts education, cooking, teaching, classroom management, teamwork, public speaking, working with kids and underserved populations. - Food procurement: Bubble provides funds to purchase food supplies for each week
- Prep: arrive early to prepare food items and set up for class
- Teach: with your co-volunteer, lead the wellness lessons with students
- Clean up: wash and organize dishes and items used for class
